LOESCHE has been awarded the contract to deliver a grinding plant for Aggregate Industries UK Ltd.
Tilbury, United Kingdom – LOESCHE, a global leading provider of grinding and process technology for the cement industry, is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a contract by Aggregate Industries UK Ltd, a member of the Holcim Group, for the design, manufacturing and delivery of a grinding plant for inclusion in a new manufacturing and distribution facility at the Port of Tilbury in 2025.
The centerpiece of this plant will be a LOESCHE vertical roller mill of the LM 30.2 CS type. The scope of supply also includes a dynamic classifier of the LSKS type, process filters, nuisance filters, hot gas generator, mill fan, structural steelwork and ducting.
The new facility will allow Aggregate Industries UK Ltd to supply its customers 24 hours a day with conventional, low carbon and circular cementitious materials from five loading heads.
This project marks another successful collaboration between Holcim and LOESCHE, with Holcim having previously relied on LOESCHE mill technology. The positive experience from previous projects, combined with LOESCHE’s British subsidiary, LOESCHE Energy Systems, which is well-versed in the British standards required for the project, were crucial factors in Aggregate Industries Ltd. awarding the contract to LOESCHE.
